Just as Germany’s Foreign Minister is leaving her scandal-darkened office, Andriy Melnyk, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister, took to Twitter and wrote: “I have a creative proposal for our German friends: the Bundeswehr has 93 Tornado multi-role combat aircraft that will be decommissioned soon and replaced by F-35s. Though it’s an old fighter jet, it’s still very powerful. Why not deliver these Tornados to Ukraine, Bundeskanzler?”
