RUSSIAN MISSILES NEARLY HIT NUCLEAR PLANT

Today the National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine, Energoatom, released a communique stating: “A powerful explosion occurred just 300 m from the reactors of the South Ukraine NPP. The buildings of the NPP were damaged and over 100 windows were broken. One of the hydraulic units of the Oleksandrivska hydroelectric power plant, which is part of the South Ukraine Energy Complex, shut down. Three high-voltage power transmission lines also shut down.”

The South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant, or Pivdennoukrainsk Nuclear Power Plant, is the second largest nuclear power station in Ukraine, and is situated in the south, close to the rolling Kherson front(s), roughly 80 miles northwest of Mikolaiv. The missile strike occurred today.
