KENTUCKY GOVERNOR RACE TURNS RACY

The Republican candidate for Kentucky governor has been charged with menacing and harassing communications and using his truck to chase his teenage nephew, who had flipped him off.

The candidate, Eric Deters, is a suspended lawyer. His arraignment in Kenton District Court is scheduled for Nov. 9.

According to a Kenton County police affidavit, Deters chased his nephew’s truck for over a mile after the juvenile gave him the middle finger. During the chase, his nephew called his father, who then called 911. One witness saw Deters’ pickup pursuing his nephew’s own truck, sometimes as close as 2 feet apart.

Afterwards, Deters sent voicemails and texts to the nephew’s kin, repeatedly questioning the sexuality of his brother and nephew and warned that if his nephew flipped him off again he “will kick his ass.” In two statements filed by Eric Deters responding to the complaint, he again questioned his brother’s sexuality and used a derogatory term for his sister-in-law,

Deters regularly posts videos on what he suspects could be political topics and berates people on his YouTube show. He also attends political fundraisers, including at former President Donald Trump’s Florida estate (still hoping to win his endorsement). Details of this article are corroborated by the illustrious Louisville Courier Journal.
